Kid-Friendly Banana Caterpillars

How cute are these little banana caterpillars? The girls love helping me spread the bananas with Greek yogurt and roll them in fruity cereal. It is such a fun and silly way to get your kids cooking in the kitchen! Who says you can’t play with your food?

You can use any kind of colored cereal you prefer. I try to find ones that are void of artificial colors when possible. Make sure to read the label. If you don’t have time to go all out on the caterpillar, skip the legs and head, slice the coated banana into 1/2-inch rounds and call it sushi! So many options–so little effort!

How to make banana caterpillars
- 2 oz Greek yogurt
- 1 banana
- ¼ cup fruit cereal
- 4 pretzels
- 1 raspberry
- tooth picks
- decorative icing
- Spread yogurt on banana and pour cereal on a plate.
- Roll the yogurt covered banana in the cereal making sure each side is covered.
- Slice the "caterpillar" into bite sized pieces. Use a raspberry for the caterpillar's head and pretzel pieces for the legs.
- Secure the raspberry with a tooth pick. Break another toothpick in half to use for the antennas.
- Use black decorative icing to create the eyes.
