75 Healthy Foods to Buy at Trader Joe’s

Registered dietitians dish on healthy foods to buy at Trader Joe’s.
From soup to nuts (literally), these are their picks.

The Birmingham (Alabama) community has been in celebration mode for months since the announcement that Trader Joe’s was FINALLY coming to our hometown. October 13, 2015 marks the opening of the Alabama store so in honor of the big day, I reached out to my fellow dietitians to share their favorite healthy products. Who knew registered dietitians would get so giddy when asked to dish on their favorite healthy foods to buy at Trader Joe’s. From soup to nuts (literally), these are their picks. Their lists spanned the aisles and no one could share just one top item because they couldn’t narrow down their tops.

Overall, the general consensus was that the prices for dried nuts, unsweetened dried fruits, cheeses, salad mixes, wine, and produce couldn’t be beat.

Below, you’ll see their favorites but as a newbie Trader Joe’s shopper, I want to know even more! Leave your favorite healthy foods in the comments so I’ll know what to check out!
