October 10, 2013 Healthy Lunchbox

I went out on a limb today to try something new for Ellie’s lunch. I’m a huge fan of cottage cheese not only because of it’s versatility but because it is an amazing source of protein. Ellie always wants bites of my lunch when I’m eating cottage cheese so I’m hopeful she will do okay with it today. I’m trying a sweeter profile with the cinnamon and strawberries.

Today’s 5-minute lunchbox:
1/2 cup cottage cheese sprinkled with cinnamon
1/2 graham cracker
1/2 cup strawberries
Fruit/veggie squeezie

Update:
Throwaway report: Well, I may have to just keep serving cottage cheese at home. It all came back today but the other food was gone. I’m not sure if she was expecting it to taste like yogurt, if she was distracted by 3 of her favorite foods (berries, squeezie, and graham crackers), or what. Definitely not giving up on this idea though.
