How to Create a Christmas Tree Charcuterie Board

Today, charcuterie boards are all the rage so I’ve had a little fun creating one to look just like a Christmas tree. Charcuterie boards are a great way to pack in tons of fresh fruits and veggies, nuts, meats, cheeses, and crackers. Best of all, the options can be endless!

If you’ve been in an ALDI store lately, you’ve probably noticed that the fresh food selection, including organic produce and ready-to-eat foods like sliced fruits, is larger than ever before. That’s because ALDI recently announced its largest product expansion ever, including a 40% increase in fresh foods. This part of the store is my first stop when I’m creating a charcuterie board. I like including fresh, bright and colorful produce and because the fruit and veggie prices at ALDI are so affordable (especially on organic options), I have a wide variety to help decorate my tray.

I also like to include a variety of nuts, crackers, meats and cheeses on my tray. That way, there is something for everyone to enjoy. In fact, ALDI has a line of gluten-free products called liveGfree which is a nice option to offer for people that follow a gluten-free lifestyle. This ALDI-exclusive line earned the Good Housekeeping Seal, which is considered the gold standard for guiding shoppers to high-quality food.It includes gluten-free pretzels, crackers, breads, pastas, and more!

Tomato and Goat Cheese Santas

Another fun appetizer to serve at a holiday dinner party are these little Tomato and Goat Cheese Santas. They’re easy to assemble and look adorable for any type of Christmas gathering. Cherry tomatoes and a quick whipped goat cheese create this simple pickup appetizer.

The Entrée

This Maple Walnut Crusted Sockeye Salmon is sure to be the hit of your dinner party. Feel confident serving this delicious salmon purchased from ALDI that is fresh and never frozen. Sustainability is important to ALDI so they aim to buy all fish and shellfish products from responsibly managed fisheries and farms. They carry fresh salmon and fresh tilapia in the stores every day. You can also find wild caught seafood, like the Sea Queen Wild Caught Salmon.

Dress up your salmon by serving it over a bed of roasted vegetables or salad greens. You’ll find a large variety of options in the ready-to-eat foods section or try one of these sides to round out the meal: roasted broccoli, maple-glazed Brussels sprouts or rosemary beet fries.

The Dessert

For a sweet bite-sized dessert, try these little Mini Blueberry Chocolate Tarts. They use just four ingredients and are so tasty and clever! Pre-made pie crust, blueberries and chocolate bring this dessert together quickly. Seriously, they’re such a cinch and SO delicious. If you want to get a little fancy, try topping each one with my DIY Whipped Cream and a bit of shaved chocolate.
