Super Greens Smoothie

Whether as a breakfast on-the-go or an afternoon snack, this super greens smoothie is a practical, doable, and delicious way to pack additional fruits and vegetables into your day.

With March comes the promise of spring! So I’m thinking green and bright with this tasty drink.

One of the best things about smoothies is you can make them with whatever fruits and vegetable you may have around. Have some produce you know you need to use because it is on the bring of turning? (I feel like that is the story of my life!) I do one of three things 1. Roast it 2. Freeze it (often in smoothie bags) or 3. BLEND IT!

You can also make a batch of these at the beginning of the week, put them in the mason jars in the freezer, and you have a healthy breakfast all week!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup of kale
  • 2 kiwis (pealed)
  • 1/4 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/4 cup of orange juice
  • 1 cup of water or milk

Instructions

  1. Blend all ingredients in blender on high for about one minute, or until smooth.
  2. If too thick add more water. If too thin add less water.
  3. Pour into serving glass.
