It’s simple to make, can easily be doubled to feed a crowd, and pairs well with classic cookout staples like burgers, brats, and more.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp lime zest
  • 3 tbsp lime juice (about 23 limes)
  • 2 Tbsp orange juice
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1/8 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 jalapeƱo (seeded and diced)
  • 3 Tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cups cubed watermelon
  • 3 cups cubed cantaloupe
  • 1 mango (peeled, seeded, and chopped)
  • 1/2 English cucumber (diced)
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion
  • 1/4 cup diced yellow bell pepper
  • 2 Tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 Tbsp chopped fresh mint

Instructions

  1. Whisk together lime zest, lime juice, and next 6 ingredients (through olive oil) in a small bowl. Set aside.
  2. Combine watermelon, cantaloupe, and next 6 ingredients (through mint) in a large bowl; stirring gently until thoroughly mixed.
  3. Toss with lime juice mixture until evenly coated.
  4. Cover and chill 20 minutes or until ready to serve.

Notes

Double the ingredients in the recipe to feed a crowd.
