Individual 7-Layer Dips

Serve Individual 7-Layer Dips at your next party or tailgate to keep the double dippers at bay!

I love making these when entertaining but it is one of those “recipes” that you just have to eyeball. The quantity of each ingredient will vary based on the size container you use but it isn’t difficult to adjust accordingly. I’m showing the dips (above) in small glass tumblers which offers enough dip for around 3-4 bites. You can also use shot glasses, votives or plastic wine cups.

Bring in the kiddos!

If you need some assistance assembling the dips, bring the kids into the kitchen and use a muffin tin to separate the ingredients. Line up the ingredients according to the recipe order starting with refried beans (that go in the bottom of the cup).

Add ingredients according to this order:

  1. Refried beans
  2. Avocado slices (or guacamole)
  3. Plain Greek yogurt (or sour cream)
  4. Pico de Gallo
  5. Shredded cheese
  6. Chopped tomatoes
  7. Chopped green onions

If you want to add one more layer, sliced olives are always a favorite in this dish.

  • Refried beans (or mashed beans-try white beans (black beans or pinto beans)
  • Fresh avocado slices or guacamole
  • Plain Greek yogurt or low-fat sour cream
  • Pico de gallo or salsa
  • Shredded cheddar cheese
  • Chopped tomatoes
  • Chopped green onions and olives
